Freelancing project to create a website for a women's choir featuring a modern, accessible design. Integration with Google Calendar that allows the client to manage shown events directly in their calendar. Built with Astro, React, and TailwindCSS focusing on user experience and responsive design.

Mobile App

A social game as a hobby project for in-person or remote sessions built with React Native and Node.js (TypeScript) backend. Pushes real-time updates via websockets to all players in a game room. An interactive ranking game that brings people together through fun and engaging gameplay.

Open Source

An open-source domain-specific language (DSL) for definition and automated execution of data pipelines developed as part of my employment at the Professorship of Open Source Software. The language itself follows the pipes-and-filters paradigm, allows the definition of custom value types, table-based data handling, and column-based data transformations. Includes a CLI interpreter, a language server, and a VS Code extension. Built with TypeScript and Langium.

MSAdoc (2022-2023)

An open-source tool for centralizing microservice architecture documentation developed as part of academic research on microservices. Allows teams to document each microservice directly within its repository using a standardized JSON file format, generating architecture diagrams and providing a centralized browsable overview. Features hierarchical service grouping, automated documentation generation, and tech-stack agnostic design. Built with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

Make-your-Menu (2020)

Web App

Web application helping teachers and cooks calculate nutrition information per recipe, estimate prices, and generate shopping lists aligned with supermarket departments, initiated as a hobby project. Allows multiple schools and kitchens to share materials and print recipes with automatically calculated nutrition data. Built with Vue.js (TypeScript) and Google Firebase (Firestore + Cloud Functions). Web-based rewrite of a desktop software originally created in 2013.

Web App

An open-source platform for collecting, processing, and serving improved open data from multiple sources simultaneously. Led this project with contributions from many students, featuring a dockerized microservices architecture with configurable data pipelines, JavaScript-based transformations, and periodic data fetching. Includes web UI for configuration and REST API for programmatic access. Built with TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Vue as part of academic research at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg.

Smart Door Sign (2018)

Ultra Low Power

Ultra low power door sign for office buildings developed as part of the Innovation Lab Master Course. The door sign devices use a micro-controller to display calendar entries and room occupants on an e-ink display. Communication between the door sign devices and a hub station utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy to enable long battery lifetimes. The project achieved 2nd place at the Bavaria-wide Demo Day of Z.DB Innovation Lab 2018.
